Special Inspection/Materials Testing
NTI recently provided special inspection for the
Portland Bureau of Emergency Management and the Portland
Water Bureau state-of-the-art Emergency Coordination
Center (ECC). The new $19.8 million ECC will serve
as a multi-agency coordination hub supporting on-scene
responses to an emergency or regional disaster.
Duties include reinforced concrete, raised access
floors, structural steel, ultrasonic evaluation,
magnetic particle testing, proprietary anchors,
cold-formed steel framing, suspended ceiling, and soils
special inspections. In addition, NTI provided
floor flatness and levelness evaluations, concrete
moisture emission evaluations, air balancing smoke
control testing, and inspection of seismic bracing for
mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
