Northwest Geotech Inc., (NGI) has conducted business
since 1983 with the successful completion of over
8,000 projects. For over 25 years NGI has operated
under the same ownership and management group since
its founding. This has contributed to maintaining a
reputation as a stable, professional firm of
integrity. In addition, as a locally owned
Oregon-based business, NGI's focus is on serving the
needs of the Pacific Northwest and building long term
business relationships based on a high standard of
work.
NGI was founded to provide geotechnical and
environmental assistance to private and public
projects. As the company has grown, services
have been expanded to include special inspection and
in-house laboratory construction materials testing.
The principals of the firm have extensive experience
with projects requiring soils and foundation
engineering, engineering geology, and environmental
site assessments. NGI also offers full service
construction monitoring and testing facilities which
are approved by the International Accreditation
Service, Oregon Building Officials Association,
Washington Association of Building Officials, the City
of Portland Bureau of Development Services, US Army
Corps of Engineers and The Oregon Department of
Transportation. Recognizing the growing importance of
the geotechnical, materials, and environmental
professions, we are committed to providing practical
yet innovative work of high quality.
Northwest Testing Inc., (NTI) is a division of
Northwest Geotech. NTI was created to provide
construction monitoring and materials testing
assistance to private and public projects including
municipalities, owners, contractors, developers,
architects and engineers throughout the Pacific
Northwest. The range of projects typically serviced by
NTI includes streets and highways, light rail
facilities, churches, schools, fire stations, justice
facilities, high-rise structures, stadiums, industrial
complexes, residential and commercial developments,
and wireless tower sites. NTI’s approach to a project
is to listen to their client’s needs and then design
the services to satisfy those requirements. This
approach maintains cost-effective management while
ensuring necessary client contact through completion
of the project.
