NGI's geotechnical services are typically managed by direct principal level involvement and coordinated by key professional staff.  For twenty-five years NGI has worked with many professional architects and engineers throughout the Portland area and has a solid reputation for commitment to quality, innovative design, and excellent communicative skills.

NGI’s clientele includes public agencies, design professionals, construction management companies, and private developers. Many of the projects involve geotechnical/seismic evaluation in support of feasibility and/or design of various public and private improvements. Laboratory and field testing of soil and rock associated with design and construction elements are also provided directly by our office. These capabilities allow our clients to benefit from the continuity we offer from the beginning stage of a project through construction. For geotechnical projects we have found this approach to be very useful. Geotechnical review of final design plans and specifications is another important element of NGI’s capabilities which helps to reduce the risk of misinterpreted recommendations or missing (geotechnical) information.
